The Adventure

More updates on the prosject, I have decided to alled it The Adventure because it feels like Florence is going true a journey. I have shorten the story a bit, so it’s more easy to understand.

” I have been having this wreid dreams lately, it’s always the same but now it begins to change little by little. There is a girl there, she kinda looks like me, but am not sure. In my dreams I followed her to a masion surrounded with this surreal light. The light sometimes change depended on my mood, it’s really weird. But the thing is that, I can’t really remember what we have been talking about. And every time I woke up something seems to change but I can’t seem to point my finger on what. And everytime when am listning to music I seems to hear her or see her around me. Sometimes I really wonder if I really are a wake or still dreaming.”

So it have been shorten up quite a bit, and am very pleased with this short summery. And now here are some finished pictures.

The last show and tell session we had with Amanda and the rest of the class were very helpful. Because I got lots of feedbacks from the teacher and classmates. I have been thinking about what Amanda said about dropping some of the details, and focus on the main history. So from now on I will focus my attention on Florence and things that are around her.

I haven’t been working so much as I would like to with my project, because of all the other assignments we have to be done with. And I can’t find the inspiration either, so I am a little unfocused right now. But i hoped that Amanda will help me with that, so am gonna send her an email.

Adventure game:

I have always like RPG, adventure and point and click games. So I decided that this game would be a adventure point and click game. Because it will give the player the chance to explore the game in a more thoughtful way.

The source of inspiration:

Humans emotion and thoughts, to explore them and make up question like do we really exist. Are these emotions our own? Things like that always fascinated me and what is fantasy and what is not. I have also watch an anime called Persona trinity soul, and it had inspired me inn some way. The anime takes up family conflicts, but it has also a fantasy part where some people have a persona , some kind of spirited that protects them.

Tools and techniques:

For this project i have choose to work with Photshop because it gives you a lot of option and chooses. And I have been thinking on combining real life photo with my drawings. To give the impression that she really doesn’t belong there or that things are different.

Characters:

These are work in progress, I haven’t encounter any technical problem yet but . I think it will be more complicated when I have to combine drawings and real life photos. And problems on how I can express the emotion and ideas though my pictures.

For my exam presentation, I think I will print them out and make some kind of portfolio or maybe a video presentation.

Do we really exist, even if we feel pain and have emotion. What if everything was just an illusion a thought that someone else or maybe something made up. I have been thinking about the visit at the art gallery and at the fountain of youth . It was just a pile of mud floating from a pump, but in the end it made me thinking.

I really like fantasy and so I want to mixed it in with real life enviroment, the one we are inn now. I want the player to think that maybe there’s more then being a human and living on earth. That there could be so much more to that, that maybe if we think and wish hard enough something might change. Am not talking about life on other planet or alien, but just the thing within ourself as a person.

The story will based around a girl, we really don’t know much about her. An ordinary girl that go to school, hanging out with friends just a plain ordinary girl that don’t stand out that much in a crowd. She just spend her everyday life like everybody else, she not happy or sad. She’s just living her life as if it’s a task. She doesn’t talk much with her parents, and like to spend time staring at the sky as if her mind and heart were somewhere else. But at night she would always dream of seeing a girl floating around, just laying there floating. The same dream everynight, until one night the girl in her dream spoke to her. She was in a place where the gravity is unlimited and after that things began to change.

Despite knowing that the girl isn’t real or is she?. She kept imagining seeing her everywhere, and people around here begin to change little by little. Does her mind played some kind of tricks on her or is it in fact that her dream is beginning to come true? But in the end maybe she just wished it to be true?
